The largest employers in Central Florida include Walt Disney World Resort, AdventHealth, Universal Orlando, Orlando Health, and the Orlando International Airport.

Approximately 80% of the population owns their own vehicle, and the average commute time is 28 minutes. The Orlando International Airport is centrally located for longer trips.

Central Florida boasts some of the nation’s top-ranked school systems. The Orange County Public School System enrolls over 208,000 students, with graduation rates in 2021 at 98.4%. The University of Central Florida has the second-highest enrollment in the country.

Located in Orange County, Winter Park has a population of almost 30,000. Residents include young professionals and retirees, and most own their own homes.

Lake Nona is a suburb of Orlando with a population of 1,664. Approximately 71% own their homes, and the average rent is just over $2,000 per month.

Dr. Phillips is one of the best neighborhoods for young professionals in the Orlando area. This densely populated area is home to 12,368 residents. The average home value is around $401,500.

Baldwin Park has a population of 1,585, consisting mostly of families and young professionals. Located in Orange County, the neighborhood has highly rated schools and offers an urban feel. 

Located in Orlando, Thornton Park is an upscale community of approximately 90 residents. The average home value is just under $430,000, and 51% own their own homes. 

Celebration is a small village of 351 homes located in Osceola County. This upscale community is designed for retirees.

Known as the city among lakes, Windermere is located in Orange County. The population is just under 3,000, including young professionals, retirees, and families.

The population in College Park is just over 11,300, consisting mostly of young professionals. Home values are around $434,000. 

Located in Seminole County, Altamonte Springs has over 45,500 residents. Most residents are young professionals who rent their homes.

Defined by its amusement parks, Kissimmee is home to the Walt Disney World Resort. The population is just over 77,000, and home values are around $217,000.
